A: App Use and Orientation

1: What is Feed2Go and what can I use it for?

Feed2Go is a professional survey and feedback app that you can use to create, conduct and evaluate surveys offline using your iPad.

You can use Feed2Go in the following ways to conduct fast, focused and secure iPad surveys:

- As an interview: You ask the respondent the questions and enter their answers directly into a form on the iPad

- Handover of the iPad to a respondent: The respondent enters the answers him/herself on the iPad or, if a group survey is being performed, the iPad is passed independently through the group

- On a terminal: The questioning takes place completely independently with the installation of the iPad in a terminal (kiosk survey). In order to generate attention, a video that explains how to answer the questions can be run. The respondent can independently select from a list of different questionnaires, or an individual questionnaire can be set up as a permant display.

You can analyze the findings gained at any time and send it as a chart, PDF or CSV.

What’s more, you don't need a user account, an Internet connection or a web portal.
This means the results, as well as the app configuration, remain under your control on the iPad.

2: Where can I get quick help within the app?

Tap on the "?" button in the upper left corner of the app to open the help pop-up window with explanations for possible actions.
What’s more, you can also display the guidelines and FAQs via the help menu.

The guidelines and FAQs can be found in the "Setup" area under the heading "About Feed2Go".
You can also send us an email via the "Your Feedback" and "Send Support Mail" path.

3: How is Feed2Go structured?

The Feed2Go app is subdivided into five areas, which you can navigate through simply using the tabs on the tab bar shown below.
The arrangement of the tabs runs from left to right:
Conduct a survey - > "Start"
Evaluate a survey - > "Results"
Manage a survey - > "Management"
Cross-functional app settings and information - > "Setup"
Pro functionality - > myFeed2Go

Please also review the guidelines A2.

"Start" Area with Play Symbol

You can conduct all of your surveys in the start area and begin with feedback pages of your choice (questionnaires).

All of the input for the survey as well as the answers entered on the feedback pages are saved here.

From here you can also go directly to the area where you can modify your feedback pages by tapping the "Edit" button.

"Results" Area with Chart Symbol

In the results area you can evaluate all of the survey input and answers entered via the "Start" area.
This provides you with a perfect overview of the results and allows you to analyze the answers and every feedback page in detail.
What’s more, all of the results can be exported as a chart, PDF or CSV file.

"Management" Area with Process Symbol

The various survey processes are shown in the "Management" area, from where you can manage all of the feedback pages and components.
You can also administer the media objects, respondent languages and settings for the survey processes here.

In order to administer and process the feedback pages and components, simply tap on the process image or use the buttons in the button bar at the top of the page.

"Setup" Area with the Cogwheel Symbol

Within this area you have the ability to configure cross-functional settings for the topics "Security & Protection" and "Import & Export".

You can also open the guidelines and the FAQs in "About Feed2Go" and send us a support email, rate the app or view the terms and conditions.

"myFeed2Go" Area with the Feed2Go Hand Symbol

Within the myFeed2Go area you will find a comprehensive selection of questionnaires and additional features, for which you can subscribe with an in-app purchase.

S: Start Surveys

1: How can I get lots of feedback?

You can conduct surveys with Feed2Go at any time, wherever you are, and generate a large quantity of meaningful feedback within a short time period of time.

If you are in direct contact with one of the respondents, you can also give them the iPad directly, depending on the situation and the timeframe available to the person (see: S4) /group (see: S5), or conduct an interview in a question and answer format (see: S3).

In addition to that, surveys can be generated automatically and continually using terminals in kiosk mode (see: S6). Those who provide feedback can either select a feedback page here, or you can give them a feedback page to be filled out.

With the wide variety of possible application scenarios, you can use every opportunity to conduct surveys quickly, professionally and securely.

Simply try it out and get started!

2: Where and how can I begin surveys?

Surveys are always started and ended in the "Start" area.

Use the "Segmented" button in the upper left-hand corner to select your preferred survey process (Interview - iPad handover - Kiosk mode).

If you have selected the survey process "Interview", you can begin the interview by simply tapping on your desired feedback page (see: S3).

If you selected the "iPad handover" survey process, you can choose an "single survey" (see: S4) or "group survey" (see: S5) by tapping on the buttons displayed next to the segmented button.
The survey will start when you tap on your desired feedback page.

If you choose the survey process "Kiosk" (see: S6), you can select whatever mode you wish by tapping on the button next to the segemented button. In addition, three great options are available to you:
- Kiosk page: a video or a PDF document can be shown to provide animation and act as an attention grabber
- Questionnaire selection page: Start with the various feedback pages that the respondent can choose him/herself
- Feedback page: Start with a fixed feedback page that is shown permanently

The kiosk survey is started when you tap on the "Start" button indicated.

3: How do I conduct interviews?

With interview mode, you can immediately conduct a question and answer survey and/or use the questionnaires as a checklist.

The thank you page and password entry window are not shown, as you can usually fill out the feedback page yourself without having to handover the iPad.

1. Go to the "Start" area and tap the "Segmented" button of the left iPad symbol in the upper left-hand corner.

2. Tap on the desired feedback page to start the survey.

3. If the "Start-up" page (see: S7) is shown, then you can either cancel the survey (and go back to "Start") or enter additional information for the survey here.
Following this, simply tap the "Start" button in the middle or in the upper right-hand corner.

4. The feedback page for answering the questions now appears.

5. After you have entered the answers into the feedback page, tap on the "Finish" button in the lower right-hand corner to save the answers.

6. The "Continue" view now appears.
6.1 If there are other persons to be interviewed, simply tap on the "Continue" button. At that point the next empty feedback page will be shown.
6.2 If there are no more interviews to be carried out, simply tap the "Finish" button.

7. If the "Wrap-up" page (see: S7) is shown, you can either cancel the entire survey (important: all answers entered will be deleted!) or enter additional survey information.
You can then finish the survey by tapping the "Close" button in the center or in the upper right-hand corner.

The survey will now be closed and you are taken back to the "Start" area.

Note: The survey process with all of its different components is shown in the "Management" area.

4: How do I conduct an individual survey with iPad handover?

By handing over the iPad to the participant, you will be able to obtain feedback that is "more sensitive" and get a more emotional response by using the thank you page. Feed2Go guides you through the survey process optimally from beginning to end, and secures the survey with a passcode.

1. Go to the "Start" area and tap on the middle iPad symbol (with the left-right arrow) of the "Segmented" button in the upper left-hand corner.

2. Choose the option "Single" by using the button next to the segemented button.

3. Tap on the desired feedback page to start the survey.

4. If the "Start-up" page (see: S7) is shown, then you can either cancel the survey (and go back to "Start") or enter additional information for the survey here.
Following this, simply tap the "Start" button in the middle or in the upper right-hand corner.

5. Now you are prompted to hand the iPad over to the respondent via the "Handover" pop-up window.
When you give the iPad to the respondent, let them know that they can start the survey by tapping the "Finger" button.

6. The respondent's feedback page will appear and they can start answering the questions.

7. Once the respondent has entered the answers on the feedback page, they can tap on the "Finish" button in the lower right-hand corner. The survey is then finished and the answers saved.

8. If a thank you page has been assigned to the feedback page, this pops up now.

9. You then ask the respondent to return the iPad to you.

10. You can leave the thank you page by tapping on the "Lock" symbol in the lower left-hand corner, or you use the gesture that you have added to the thank you page (see: M5).
Now enter the passcode that you defined and the thank you page will close.

Security Notes

Before you hand over the iPad, you should activate Guided Access (see: W2).
With that you ensure the swake/sleep button, home button, notification center and, if necessary, multitasking are inactive (and thus inaccessible to the respondent).

Note: The survey process with all of its different components is shown in the "Management" area.

5: How do I conduct an independent group survey?

By handing over the iPad to a group, you will be able to obtain feedback that is "more sensitive" and get a more emotional response by using the thank you page. Feed2Go guides you through the survey process optimally from beginning to end, and secures the survey with a passcode.

1. Go to the "Start" area and tap on the middle iPad symbol (with the left-right arrow) of the "Segmented" button in the upper left-hand corner.

2. Choose the option "Group" by using the button next to the segmented button.

5. Now you are prompted to hand the iPad over to the first respondent via the "Handover" pop-up window.

The thank you page is displayed to the respondent until they tap on the iPad or until it disappears automatically after a few seconds (see: M6).

9. The respondent is now prompted to "handover" the iPad to the next person in the group.

This process is repeated until the last one in the group returns the iPad to you.

10. You can leave the handover view by tapping on the "Lock" symbol in the lower left-hand corner, or you use the gesture that you have added to the thank you page (see: M5).
Now enter the passcode that you defined and the thank you page will close.

Security Notes

Before you hand over the iPad, you should activate Guided Access (see: W2).
With that you ensure the awake/sleep button, home button, notification center and, if necessary, multitasking are inactive (and thus inaccessible to the respondent).

Note: The survey process with all of its different components is shown in the "Management" area.

6: How does the kiosk survey work when used in a terminal?

Feed2Go is the ideal app for performing kiosk surveys with iPads using terminals that have been set up (floor stands, table stands).
Kiosk mode ensures surveys can be done independently, securely and anonymously over a longer period of time.
You can decide whether the terminal view is animated or whether the survey questionnaire is started directly.
The app ensures the survey is automatically reset, and those who are interested in providing feedback can simply fill out the feedback page.

1. Go to the "Start" area and tap on the right iPad symbol (shown as a kiosk terminal) of the "Segmented" button in the upper left-hand corner.

2. Use the button next to the segmented button to choose which kiosk mode you would like to use:
- Kiosk page: a video or a PDF document can be shown to provide animation and act as an attention grabber
- Questionnaire selection page: Start with the various feedback pages that the respondent can choose him/herself
- Feedback page: Start with a fixed feedback page that is shown permanently

In "Kiosk Page" mode, you can also select the start page that is displayed (see: C4).

3. Following this, you select the feedback page you would like to display in "Kiosk Page" and "Selection Page" mode. Tap on the desired feedback pages to select them (a blue tick will then appear).

In "Feedback Page" mode, tap on the feedback page that you would like to display.

4. Now tap on the "Start" button shown in the center.

5. If the "Start-up" page (see: S7) is shown, then you can either cancel the survey (and go back to "Start") or enter additional information for the survey here.
Following this, simply tap the "Start" button in the middle or in the upper right-hand corner.

6. Confirm with a tap on the screen that you have read the directions for ending the respondent run.

7. The selected kiosk mode is now active and the appropriate start page is shown. This should behave as follows:

- Kiosk page: If an interested respondent taps on the iPad, the questionnaire selection page appears, via which a feedback page can be selected. If there is only one questionnaire, then the questionnaire selection page is bypassed and the feedback page is displayed immediately.
- Selection page: In this mode, the questionnaire selection page is displayed as the start page.
- Feedback page: The feedback page is permanently displayed as the start page.

Apart from this, the kiosk survey adjusts itself automatically.

With regard surveys that have been started, but not yet finished, you can configure the amount of time that passes before the process automatically jumps back to the start page (see: M7).

8. Completion of the kiosk survey depends on the selected mode:
- Kiosk page: In the lower left-hand corner, tap on the "Lock" symbol or use the gesture that you set up for the page
- Selection page: In the upper left-hand corner, tap the "Lock" symbol or use the gesture you set up in the heading area on the page
- Feedback page: In the lower left-hand corner, tap the "Lock" symbol or use the gesture you set up in the heading area on the page

Now enter the passcode you configured and the start page will close.

9. If the "Wrap-up" page (see: S7) is shown, you can enter additional survey information.
You can then finish the survey by tapping the "Close" button in the center or in the upper right-hand corner.

The survey will now be closed and you are taken back to the "Start" area.

Security Notes

You should activate Guided Access (see: W2) after the setup of the iPad in the terminal.
With that you ensure the awake/sleep button, home button, notification center and, if necessary, multitasking are inactive (and thus inaccessible to the respondent).

Note: The survey process with all of its different components is shown in the "Management" area.

7: What do I use the "Start-up" and "Wrap-up" page for?

The questions displayed in the start-up and wrap-up areas are for the interviewer, and are usually related to the respondent run (see: C6).

Simply take notes either before or after the respondent run. Select where the survey took place, record any sales or costs associated with the survey, or enter additional references for the survey that are important for you and/or the respondent.
The questions for the start-up process are identical to those for the wrap-up, since the available time windows can vary. Feed2Go therefore adapts itself ideally to your survey process.

Distinctive Features During the Start-up

With interviews or ipad handover surveys, the selected feedback page is confirmed and, if necessary, the survey can be terminated after entering a reason.

If a multilingual feedback page in handover mode is started, you can select the respondent language here.

Distinctive Features During the Wrap-up

During the wrap-up, it is also possible to cancel a survey that has been started. Should the survey be canceled, all answers entered will be deleted.

If no add-ons are active, and if the survey cannot be cancelled during the wrap-up, then the wrap-up window is not displayed.

Configuring the Cancellation Settings

You can configure the ability to cancel a survey in the "Management" area in the upper right-hand corner under "Actions" and "Cancelation Settings".

8: What can I do when I can no longer close a survey?

Should you no longer be able to close a survey, then please remember the trigger for ending a respondent run (see: M5) and use it.

If that doesn't work, close the app (see: i1) and start it again. Now you can check to see which trigger was set up to close the survey run (see: M5).

R: Analyze Results

1: How can I get a quick overview of all of the survey results?

In the "Results" area, you can look at and analyze all of the survey results from all feedback pages in the "Summary".
To provide a quick overview, the summary is divided into four quadrants.

Return Rate

In the return rate quadrant, you can immediately see how many results have been collected over the past several days, at what time, or on what day. This option is available to you by using the "Filter" button.

In order to drill down, tap on the right side of the chart on the "Chart per Feedback Page".

In order to analyze the reasons for results that cannot be evaluated, tap on the "Filter" button and choose non-evaluable feedback. In order to drill down, tap on the right side next to the chart on "Root Cause Analysis" and the results that could not be evaluated will be displayed.
Here you can perform an analysis based on reasons or feedback pages, or you can delete all non-evaluable feedback results.

Question and Answer Chart

You can see the answers immediately in the "Question and Answer" charts.

All of the questions for all feedback pages are displayed (see also: M4) with their average values, the most frequently selected answers and the number of votes.

Here you can separate each type of answer displayed by using the "Filter" button and display the breakdown of the values in a chart.
To do that, simply tap on the "Chart" button.

To drill down, tap on the question itself to display the breakdown of the answers for each feedback page.

Complaints Alert

All feedback pages flagged with a complaint are displayed here (see: F5).

Tap on a feedback page to display the completed surveys so that you can react immediately. This allows you, for example, to send the completed survey to the person responsible as a PDF.

Focus Questions

With the quadrant focus questions you can immediately see how the focus questions from all of the feedback pages have been answered. That is the ideal indicator of the overall level of satisfaction of the respondents.

Simply tap on the pie chart and the answers for each feedback page will be displayed.

Results Analysis in other Apps

You can simply export the survey data in the CSV file format (see: R4).

Filter Options

Tap on the "Calendar" button in the upper right-hand corner of the "Results Center" and choose the desired time period. The filter immediately updates all quadrants and is also the basis for the CSV export.

2: How do I analyze the answers for each feedback page in detail?

Use the analysis of the results to discover the possibilities and use the experiences to move yourself and your business forward.

In the "Results" area, tap on the "Individual Evaluation" button and select a feedback page from the list displayed.

Now you can very easily analyze every answer and every piece of feedback in detail in the table on the right.

Simply scroll through all of the feedback to the right or downwards, and you can see the answers given to the questions.

For example, tap on a cell with a text answer and the complete text of the answer will be displayed.

Response Overview

If you want to know where the displayed average values have come from, or how frequently which answers were given, then simply tap underneath the questions on the buttons shown.
With the donut and bar chart shown, you can immediately see a breakdown of the answers respectively the list of text answers.
For questions with percentage answer values, a trend chart can be disaplyed.
Also you can see with additional chart, what day, what time of day or what day of the week the answers were given. All charts and the list of text answers can be exported or shared on social media by using the "Export" button in the upper right-hand corner.

Now you can view the completed feedback pages or the overview chart for those ticked ones and the CSV data export is limited to them as well.
Furthermore the ticked feedback results can be deleted too.

3: How are the results displayed?

The way the answers are displayed depends on the type of answers used (see: F2).

Evaluation / Relevance / Emoticon

These types of answers are illustrated as percentages from left (0%) to right (100%). No answers remain empty, as such entries are shown as "n.a." (no answer/not applicable).

The average values of these types are calculated as the sum of the answers divided by the number of answers.

Predefined Answer: Text

You entered previously defined answers. The selected answers are displayed. No answers remain empty, as such entries are shown as "n.a." (no answer/not applicable).

Predefined Answer: Numbers

The selected numbers are displayed. No answers remain empty, as such entries are shown as "n.a." (no answer/not applicable).

Predefined Answer: Date & Time

The selected time is displayed either in date or time format. No answers remain empty, as such entries are shown as "n.a." (no answer/not applicable).

Net Promoter Score®

The Net Promoter Score is displayed in a summary chart with the related votings towards the detractores, the passives and promoters.
An additional diagram shows you how the score has changed/improved over time.

Free Answers

The respondents’ text entries are displayed here. No answers remain empty.

Focus Questions

The answers to focus questions are translated as "yes", "no" and "maybe". No answers remain empty, as such entries are shown as "n.a." (no answer/not applicable).

Answers to Add-ons

Answers to the add-ons are text answers, since they concern either predefined or free answers.

Add-on Handling / Answering Questions

The answers to these two questions can be "good", "average" or "poor". No answers can remain empty.

Add-on Gender

The answer regarding gender can be "female" or "male". No answers can remain empty.

Add-on Nationality

This answer is always the country selected from the list. No answers can remain empty.

Values for the Statement of Consent Shown (see: C7)

The answers can be "rejected" or "accepted". If the statement of consent is inactive or the feedback is invalid, then are no entries.

4: How can I export survey data?

Survey results can be exported as a CSV file within the "Results" area, both in the "Summary" and from the "Feedback Pages".

In the "Summary"

Simply tap in the upper right-hand corner on the "Export" button with the label "CSV".
If the results of several feedback pages are available, you can select the appropriate feedback page for the CSV export or choose "All" to export all of the CSV files in a zip file.
Note: The number of survey results that can be exported depends on the selected filter.

For each Feedback Page

In the "Results" area, tap on "Individual Evaluation" and then select a feedback page from the list.
Now you can use "Data Export (CSV)" under "Actions" to export all displayed feedback results, or you can select individual ones via the "Select" button.

Instant Analysis by Copy (Table)

After the tap on "Actions" and "Data Export (CSV)", the various export options are displayed. If you want to evaluate the survey results immediately in Apple Numbers or Excel on the iPad, just tap on "Copy (Table)".
Then open a blank sheet or table in your favorite app and tap on a cell and "Insert / Paste". The Feed2Go results are then copied to the corresponding columns and rows.

Multiple Choice

If several answers can be selected from a selection list, the answers are separated from each other with the character combination "&-&".

Determine the Origin of the Data

Under "Information" within the "Settings" area, you can record the name of the iPad and its place of use in the iPad name and address fields.

If you consolidate the survey data of several iPads using CSV files (see: R5), you will be able to maintain an overview of where the results were produced.

CSV File Configuration

Usually, Apple Numbers and MS Excel can import the CSV files without the need to configure anything using the Feed2Go app settings.

If problems should arise, however, you can configure the CSV files individually in the "Settings" area under "Import & Export".

Sometimes it is necessary to manually change the field separator, the file coding or the data format region so that an import is possible.

Directions for File Encoding, Emoticons and Special Characters

Some file encoding is not able to display special characters and emoticons correctly.

If the results reference and free text answers contain characters that are not supported by the configured file encoding, the CSV file to be exported will always be created in the "UTF-8" file encoding format.

Note on the Import of CSV Files into other Apps

If a CSV file cannot be opened using "Open In…" option in another app, you can also store the CSV file in a cloud storage system designated by you.
Once you have done this, open your app and try to import the file using its import assistant.

Hint: Please find more information about iCloud Drive under W4..

5: How do I consolidate the survey results from several iPads?

You can consolidate the survey results from several iPads with the same feedback pages by exporting the results of every iPad into a CSV file (see: R4).

The data records (lines) of each CSV file can simply be copied/consolidated, since the structure (number of fields and arrangement) is congruent.

The iPad name and address information fields can help you to determine the origin of the data, (see: G3).

A unique ID is recorded in the "Feedback ID" field. It can be used to easily determine whether the data record/line really does only exist once in your consolidated file.

With the "Feedback page ID" field, you can check whether you have consolidated the data from the same feedback page.

6: Can the result data be exported automatically?

The result data can be exported regularly and automatically as a CSV file (see: R4) during a kiosk survey or from the "Start" area.

Go to the "Settings" area under "Import & Export" and select under "Result Export" the option "Automatic".
The result data can be automatically stored either in your iCloud drive under the directory "Feed2Go" or in the directory "Dropbox/app/Feed2Go".
Furthermore, you determine whether the data is to be stored hourly or once a day in the cloud. If you have selected the "daily" option, you can also set the time using the above shown button.

iCloud Drive

The CSV data export is stored locally at any time in the "Files" app (from iOS 11 on) or in the "icloud Drive". If you want the results data to be centrally available in icloud, then the iPad must be online for synchronization.
Sometimes, the synchronization between the iPad and the iCloud may take a while. That is why the exported result files will only be visible outside the iPad after some time.

Dropbox

In order to save the result data automatically in the Dropbox, the iPad must be online at the time of export. If this is not the case, then in "Start" a corresponding message appears that the automatic export could not be carried out.

The renewed result data export can be triggered manually at any time in the "Start" area under the "Action" button in the top right hand corner.

C: Management of the Components

1: What are components?

Components are all functions that extend the survey process and enrich the feedback pages.

The components are individually adaptable and changeable at any time.

Furthermore, each component has an assigned symbol for better recognition.

The following components can be flexibly assigned to a feedback page:
- Staple: Add-ons
- Handshake: Statement of consent
- Heart: Thank you page
- Megaphone: Pin-It

Furthermore, there are kiosk pages for kiosk surveys and the questionnaire selection page.

All components can be administered and be edited from the "Management" area. Missing language entries are highlighted with red badges on the respective buttons.

2: How do I design and edit a thank you page?

With a thank you page, you can say a very warm "thank you" once the respondent has answered questions on a feedback page. Use it to communicate your brand, your event, your company, or display important information simply and clearly.

These pages can be designed individually to match your specific needs.

Go to the "Management" area and use the "Segmented" button in the upper left-hand corner to choose the handover or kiosk process. Following this, tap on the thank you page in the lower right-hand corner (or in top right hand corner on the "Actions" button).

Management of the Thank You Pages

Use the following buttons in the top right hand corner for:
- Plus: Create a new thank you page
- Sort: Specify the order of the pages

Tap on an existing thank you page for the following actions:
- Pencil: Edit the thank you page
- Star: Assign the thank you page to the feedback pages
- Eraser: Change names
- Forms: Create a copy
- Trash bin: Delete the thank you page

Editing

After you have selected a thank you page, tap on edit (pencil).

While you are working on it, select the background of the thank you page using the "Look" button. You can choose a color, a picture, a video or a PDF, as well as portrait or landscape format.

The "Layout" button can be used to position and edit the heading, a subtitle, your logo and an additional top element on the page:
The visibility function is used to adjust whether the element is displayed only in portrait format, in landscape, or in both formats.

On the page, tap on the element and drag it to the desired position.

Change the size of the element by tapping on one of the 4 arrows indicated and then dragging the element to make it larger or smaller.

Use the "Magnifying Glass" button to review how the page will be presented in the survey.

3: How do I display latest news (Pin-It) on the thank you page?

Pin-It is a useful option that allows you to display any latest news on the thank you pages. For example, draw the respondents' focus to current actions and messages.

In order to edit the Pin-It settings, go to the "Management" area and tap on the yellow sticky note (Megaphone) on the thank you page (or in top right hand corner on the "Actions" button).

You can place either a text or a picture on the sticky note (see "Segmented" button on the button bar).

In the area above, tap on the sticky note indicated in order to edit the contents.

You can display the Pin-It for each feedback page individually by activating the "Display" switch in the related cell.
You can now position the sticky note on the thank you page in portrait or landscape format by tapping and dragging it to the desired location.

Red badges indicate missing entries. As long as a badge exists, the sticky note will not be displayed for the corresponding language.

Info: You can switch the Pin-It function on and off for the survey process. Simply go to the "Management" area and tap on the "Megaphone" button on the button bar.

4: How do I design and edit a kiosk page?

Always use kiosk pages whenever you leave a survey running on a terminal, and you want to generate a great deal of attention.
To do this, simply play a video or present interesting information in a PDF.
The important thing here is that the kiosk page encourages people to tap the screen, so that the questioning of the respondent can start.

Managing and Editing the Pages

Go to the "Management" area, in the upper left-hand area select the kiosk process using the "Segmented" button and then tap on the terminal indicated in the middle of the process. Then you can select the "Kiosk Pages" menu item in the Kiosk Start Page menu.

The kiosk page "Management" area is displayed, where you can create and organize individual kiosk pages. The processes for designing a kiosk page and a thank you page are identical (see: C2).

5: Where and how do I edit the questionnaire selection page shown in the kiosk survey?

The selection of questionnaires in a kiosk survey can be customized as well.

Go to the "Management" area, in the upper left-hand area select the kiosk process using the "Segmented" button and then tap on the terminal indicated in the middle of the process. Then select the "Feedback Page Selection" menu item in the Kiosk Start Page menu.

You can place a logo, headline and a message in the heading of the selection page.

Edit the title of the questionnaire and the background picture for the feedback pages displayed. Simply tap on the desired feedback page to open the editing view.

6: What are add-ons?

Add-ons are general questions (e. g. demographic characteristics). You can automatically add them to a survey and limit them to individual feedback pages.

You can use additional questions in the following areas:

- During the start-up or wrap-up (see: S7) by answering the interviewer, such as: Survey location, who conducted the survey, notes about the survey, notes about the respondents, revenue and cost related information of the survey, etc.
- On the feedback page, in connection with the questions the respondent answers: such as age, gender, occupation, education, product use, favorite product, behavior and preferences, etc.

Managing and Editing of Add-ons

To edit add-ons, go to the "Management" area and tap on the top right hand corner on the "Actions" buttonand on "Add-ons" (or on "Start-up", "Wrap-up" in the process image or on the "Staple" symbol on the feedback page, which is shown in the upper right-hand corner).

Tap again on the staple button to switch on the required interviewer and/or respondent add-ons. If you want to reorder them, then tap on the 'Reorder' button in the top right hand corner or make a long tap on the question itself within the page.
Tap on a question to edit the question text and the selectable values or just to configure the answer option itself.
In addition, you can individually show or hide both the question and the selectable values on feedback pages.

7: When and how do I use the statement of consent?

Use the agreement pop-up window to obtain any required approval for data collection.

In order to edit the agreement, go to the "Management" area and tap on "Agreement" to the right between the feedback page and the thank you page within the process view. Alternatively, you can tap on the "Actions" button in the top right hand corner.

Your Conditions

You can enter your conditions as text, an image or PDF (see "Segmented" button).

Tap in the upper area on the displayed agreement view to edit its elements:
- Conditions: What conditions should the respondent agree to?
- Phrase for rejection: Labeling of the button
- Phrase for agreement: Labeling of the button
- Explanation of what happens if conditions are rejected (entry optional): Describe here what will happen if the conditions are rejected

Display

You can display the agreement for each feedback page individually by activating the "Display" switch in the related cell.

If you want to permit the respondent to go back from the statement of consent to the feedback page, then activate the "Back" button in the upper left-hand corner.
An "Arrow" button will appear in the upper left-hand corner of the statement of consent for this purpose.

Missing entries are highlighted with red badges. As long as a badge exists, the statement of consent will not be displayed in the survey.

Info: You can switch the agreement function on and off for the survey process. Simply go to the "Management" area and tap on the " Handshake " button on the button bar.

Utilization During the Survey Process

If the statement of consent for the feedback page is active, then the pop-up window appears after the feedback page is filled out and the "Finish" button was tapped. The respondent can now decide whether he/she agrees with or rejects your conditions. Following this, the respondent has to tap on the "Arrow" button in the lower right-hand corner to exit the statement of consent window.

If the agreement is rejected, then all of the respondent's answers are deleted, the feedback is flagged as not evaluable, and the hint "Approval denied" is entered in the results data (see: R3).

M: Management of Basic Conditions

1: Where do I administer pictures, videos and PDF files?

Go to the "Management" area, tap on the "Actions" button in the upper right-hand corner and then select "Media Manager".

Here you can administer your pictures, videos and PDFs so that you can select them while editing the components or feedback pages.

Every media object provides information about its usage. Just tap on the media object to obtain the information.

Import of Media Objects

Tap on the "Import" button in the upper right-hand corner to retrieve media objects from the iPad photo app, your Dropbox account or your iCloud Drive (see: W4).

Note regarding imports using the iPad photo app: If the photo import function is opened in the app, and you import a photo into the photo app on another device, then the photo app must be opened on the iPad on which you are using Feed2Go. Only then can the newly added photo be recognized and imported into Feed2Go.

As an alternative, you can use "Open in…" in other apps for the import. As soon as you have selected a media object in another app (for use in Feed2Go), open the media manager and select "Import". Afterwards, tap on "From other Apps", which will enable you to import media objects copied from other apps into Feed2Go.

Pictures

If a picture is shown in a frame, then it has the ideal resolution. Tap on the "Info" button in the upper right-hand corner in the picture section to obtain information about ideal resolutions and where they can be used.

Videos and PDFs

Videos and PDFs are selectable on the thank you and kiosk pages.
Furthermore, PDFs can also be used in the statement of consent.

2: Where can I change the standard logo and color?

In order to make a change, go to the "Management" area, tap on the "Actions" button in the upper right-hand corner and choose "Default Logo and Color".

Simply tap on the color or the logo to open the dialog window where changes can be made.

After a change is made, all feedback pages and components will be updated and the default values will be used (plus logo in the "Start" area).

The updating process can take some time, depending on the changes that have been made.

3: How can I use several respondent languages?

One of Feed2Go's strengths is the ability to use questionnaires with several different languages.

You don't have to create a new feedback page for each language, as you can simply create one feedback page with several languages.

The respondent can therefore simply choose a language on the feedback page with the "Globe" button and then answer the questions.

You can immediately evaluate the results, since answers given in several languages can be analyzed via one feedback page.

Language Management

You can use as many respondent languages in Feed2Go as you like.

Go to the "Management" area, tap on "Actions" button in the upper right-hand corner and then select "Language Management".
There you can specify which respondent languages are relevant.
Tap on the "+" button for adding a language.

For the future creation of feedback pages you can determine if only the default language or all languages should be pre-selected.

Hint: When adding, deleting and defining the order of languages, as well as the standard language, these settings are used as the basis for new feedback pages and they are reflected in the components immediately (see: C1).

Use of Reference for Results

Activate the "Reference for Results" if you want to establish a consolidating reference to questions or answers in "Results", for example, for multilingualism, for the interpretation of symbols, repetitions or the same questions on different feedback pages. You can define the respective reference using the additional field "Reference for Results" (see: M4).
Tap on the top right-hand corner on the "Preferences" button in order activate or to disable it.

Creating a new Feedback Page

Once you have selected a new feedback page or a copy of an existing one, you can enable/disable each respondent language in the "New Feedback Page" dialog.
Note that the languages of a feedback page can no longer be changed after you created it.

Editing a Feedback Page

Irrespective of whether you are working on questions, possible responses or text on the feedback page, you can always enter text in the languages that were specified when creating the feedback page.

Text entries for all languages must be available, otherwise the feedback page cannot be activated. Missing text is highlighted by red badges in the button bar.

You can use the "Globe" button to display the feedback page in your desired language.

Activation of a Feedback Page

If the reference for results is disabled, you can choose a language for the results presentation. This can be done in the activation window (by default, the first language is selected).
Note that after activation the language for the results presentation is fixed.

Language use in the Components

If you use text in the components where translations are still missing, the app points these out in the "Management" area by showing red badges on the respective buttons.
These red badges show you where missing translations need to be entered.

If translations are missing in the components, these elements will not be shown during the survey.

Hint for add-ons: If you add a language from one of the 18 predefined languages available in the templates in "Language Management", the translations for the respondent add-ons will be added automatically. If, however, you have already created predefined answers for the respondents, you will still need to translate these.

Multilingual Surveys

In the "Start" area you can select different languages for the feedback pages by using the "Globe" button (upper right).

Interview / ipad Handover Survey

After you have started a survey by selecting a feedback page, you can select the language in the "Start-up" area that the feedback page should be displayed in initially.

While answering the questions, the respondent can change the language displayed at any time by tapping on the "Globe" button (upper right-hand corner).
It is therefore easy to survey an international group, since each respondent can select his/her own individual language.

Kiosk Survey

In kiosk mode, the respondent has the option of selecting the language on the kiosk page or questionnaire selection page by using the "Language" button (upper right-hand corner). The feedback page selected will be started with this language.

4: What is the reference for results?

Activate the reference for results under the language mangement (see: M3) in order to use it for presenting the questions and predefined answers in the "Results" area.

An additional input field will then be provided for each question and predefined answer (buttons and selection lists).

For every feedback page, the reference of the questions must be unique. For each question with predefined answers, the reference must likewise be unique for each possible response.

In the following cases, the use of the results reference can be very useful to you:

Predefined Answers with Emoticon Buttons

If you want to display several buttons with emoticon symbols for possible answers to a question, you can assign a piece of descriptive text to each button within the results reference. The button will of course display the emoticon symbol.

Repetitive Questions on a Feedback Page

If you repeat the same questions on a feedback page (e. g. because the same question appears several times in different question blocks separated by headings), you can simply differentiate these questions during the evaluation by assigning a unique results reference to each question.

Merging Answers from Different Feedback Pages

If several feedback pages contain the same questions with the same results reference, you can summarize the answers to the questions within one question.
The summary based on the results reference is shown in the "Results" area within the "Summary", in the upper right-hand quadrant "Question and Answer Chart" (see: R1).

For example, if you ask about friendliness in several questionnaires (and the question always has the results reference friendliness), then you can gain an overview of the total result for all of the questionnaires by looking at the question and answer chart.

Multilingualism (see: M3)

If you use several languages on a feedback page, then the results reference ensures that the answers to the different languages always appear under the same results reference.
This makes the evaluation of the answers independent of the respondent language, and you know immediately which answer was given for which question.

In the CSV File Export

If you want to further process the survey results outside of Feed2Go, and use the CSV file export function for this purpose, the results reference of the questions will be used for the column headings. This allows you, for example, to provide questions with field names, which you will need during the follow-up processing.

5: Where do I change the trigger (lock/gesture) to exit the respondent run?

Go to the "Management" area and select either the handover or kiosk process via the "Segmented" button in the upper left-hand area. Following this, tap on the "Actions" button in the upper right-hand corner and then select "Exit with".

Now you can select whether a lock symbol should be displayed to exit a respondent run, or whether you would like to use a (invisible) gesture.
Under "Gesture" you can specify the gestures that are to be used to exit the respondent run.

Notes on 3-finger Gestures

3-finger gestures do not work in Feed2Go if the zoom function is activated on the iPad. You can check this under "iPad Settings->General->Accessibility->Zoom".

Directions for Leaving the Respondent Run

The gestures and the lock are applied as follows on the pages in order to leave the respondent run:
- Handover single survey: On the thank you page, with gestures or by tapping the lock in the lower left-hand corner
- Handover group survey: On the Handover view, with gestures or by tapping the lock in the lower left-hand corner
- Kiosk mode with kiosk page: On the kiosk page, with gestures or by tapping the lock in the lower left-hand corner
- Kiosk mode with questionnaire selection page: On the selection page, with gestures in the heading area or by tapping the lock in the upper left-hand corner
- Kiosk mode with fixed feedback page: On the feedback page, with gestures in the heading area or by tapping the lock in the lower left-hand corner

6: Handover in group survey: Where do I change the trigger for presenting the handover view?

Go to the "Management" area and select the handover survey process using the "Segmented" button in the upper left-hand corner. Following this, tap on the "Actions" button in the upper right-hand corner and select "Handover in Group Mode".

The handover view is triggered via the thank you page. The thank you page is either displayed for the selected time interval, or the respondent taps on the thank you page. You can also use a combination of both.

If no thank you page is shown, then this setting disappears and the handover view is shown immediately after the feedback page has been closed.

7: Where do I change the waiting periods for the kiosk process?

Go to the "Management" area and select the kiosk process using the "Segmented" button in the upper left-hand corner. Following this, tap on the "Actions" button in the upper right-hand corner and select "Back to Top".

Here you can set the time in seconds that the system waits before returning to the kiosk start page after.

8: What options are there to adapt Feed2Go to my own design?

You can adapt Feed2Go to your own individual design based on the area of application.

G: App Setup

1: Where can I change the passcode?

In the "Setup" area, under "Privacy and Security", tap on the small rectangular box next to "Manager Passcode".
After you have entered the old passcode, type in a new passcode of your choice and confirm.

2: How do I administer several users and their rights?

You can set up the app for multiple interviewers/users and thus get more survey results.

Set up User Roles

In the "Setup" area, under "Privacy and Security", tap on "User Group Management" to activate it.

In addition to your manager role, you are able to set up three additional roles. A role corresponds to a user and/or user group.

In order to activate one, tap on the control or passcode box in the role column and assign a passcode to it.

Decide what rights you want to give a user:
- Only conduct surveys
- Also see, delete and export results
- Manage everything
- Change settings

Furthermore, the roles are hierarchical (e.g. role 1 can do everything what role 2 can, but not the other way around).

You can therefore assign several user groups different rights depending on their areas of responsibility and tasks.

Use User Roles

Before you hand over the iPad to a user, go to the "Start" area, tap on the "Actions" button in the upper right-hand corner and select "User Management".

Then tap on the desired role in the section "Log in As" and enter the appropriate passcode.

The defined rights of this user group are now active and you can hand over the iPad to the user.

Communicate the passcode to the user so that he/she can use it when requested to enter the passcode.

3: Where can I leave support information?

If you set up Feed2Go for other users, you can store your contact information in the "Setup" area under "Information".

This information can be retrieved in the "Start" area by tapping on the "Action" button in the upper right-hand corner.

The iPad fields "Name" and "Address" are also used for the CSV export (see: R4).

P: myFeed2Go and the Pro Functionality

1: Where and how do I get the Pro functionality?

In the app you can subscribe with an in-app purchase the Pro functionality for a small fee.

The Pro functionality offers you the following additional features (see: U1):

- Freely define logos and colors
- Analyze and export all survey results
- Manage up to four user groups with their individual rights
- Use as many respondent languages as you like
- Send and receive as many feedback pages as you like
- More than 50 questionnaires (templates) prepared for many industries and topics in 18 languages

Go to the "myFeed2Go" area and select the subscription that suits you, so that the extended functions are immediately available to you.

Hint: If you have purchased the Pro functionality in the past or have completed a subscription, you can simply restore the purchase / subscription (see: P4).

2: What are templates?

Templates are prepared questionnaires:
- They contain appropriate questions for your topic and your industry
- You save the time you would have spent doing research and entering information
- You can use the questions simply as an idea pool
- You can change them as you like
- You can copy the individual questions into feedback pages (see: F1)

In addition, all questionnaires already contain an iCanLocalize professional translation in the following languages:

German, English, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Spanish, Turkish, Chinese (traditional), Chinese (simplified), Japanese, Korean, Malay, Thai, Arab and Hindi

You can buy questionnaires when you create a feedback page (see: F1), or you can go to the "Shop" area.

Simply browse through the topics and sectors. There’s bound to be something for you there.

3: How do I work with templates?

Templates are prepared questionnaires, which can be used as often as you like. To do this, simply create a new feedback page as a copy of a template (see: F1).

You can then change the newly created feedback page.
If you are editing a feedback page, you can add any question from a template anytime to the feedback page by using the question pool (see: F2).

4: How do I restore my subscription after an app installation?

Once you have completed a subscription and reinstalled the app, you can restore the valid subscription after installing Feed2Go.

To do that, go to the "myFeed2Go" area and tap on the "Restore" button in the upper right-hand corner.

5: Where can I view, change, or cancel the subscription?

For more information about managing subscriptions, click here: i6

6: What can I do if there are problems with the completion or restoration of a subscription?

If the completion or restoration of a subscription is not possible, then check the following:
- That your iPad is connected to the Internet and the iTunes Store (i8)
- That in-app purchases are possible (i7)
- That the iPad is not in the guided access mode (i5)

If you want to restore a subscription, check whether the subscription is still valid (L5).
In this context, check whether the system date and time are set correctly (iPad Settings -> General -> Date & Time).

If there is still a problem then restart the iPad (i3).

If the iPad is managed by an administrator, then please contact him.

For the following messages, you must contact Apple support immediately:
- Regrant Failed! Please Purchase Software Application First
- Your Purchase Could Not Be Completed. For assistance, contact iTunes Support at www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww/.
- Erneute Gewährung fehlgeschlagen. Kaufe erst das Softwareprogramm
- Dein Kauf konnte nicht abgeschlossen werden. Für Unterstützung wende dich an den iTunes Support unter www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww.

For Apple support, please visit the following link: (i9).

7: Why do I need to check the subscription?

Feed2Go is an offline app. Once you have completed a subscription for Pro functionality in the "myFeed2Go" area you can use offline all Pro features in Feed2Go over the period. Thus, the app needs no Internet connection during run time.

After the end of the current period of time Feed2Go requires a connection to the iTunes Store, to check whether the subscription is renewed.
Therefore, Feed2Go asks you to check the subscription only after expiration of the period. If the app was able to check the subscription and it was extended, then the Pro functionality is still available.

Expiration of Subscription
If the subscription however cannot be verified by Feed2Go after a waiting period, or if the app is confirmed that the subscription has expired, the Pro functionality will expire and Feed2Go will start running again in the free version.
All so far gathered survey results and settings are retained in the app.
Once you have confirmed a valid subscription in the "myFeed2Go" area, you can use all Pro features again.

8: What happens after the expiration of a subscription?

Please find the appropriate answer to the question here: L7

W: Questions about Security

1: How do I secure the survey process?

You can prevent unprotected access to the "entire" iPad by activating "Guided Access" (see: W2).

During a handover or kiosk survey, respondent access to the Feed2Go app is prevented using a passcode. You should use a gesture as the trigger for the passcode request (see: M5).

Hint: The app is not passcode protected during the interview process, since it is assumed that the iPad will not leave the respondent's hand.

2: How do I deactivate the iPad awake/sleep button, home button, multitasking and the notification center?

In the iPad settings under "General->Accessibility->Guided Access", you can prepare your iPad for Guided Access (see: i5).
If you switch on Guided Access there, you can activate it in an active app by tapping on the home button three times.
After you have assigned a passcode, it is not possible to exit the app by using the awake/sleep button or home button, and neither the notification center nor multitasking is shown.

Guided Access therefore provides ideal protection for your iPad during a survey.

Before you hand the iPad over to the respondent and/or activate kiosk mode, you can turn on Guided Access in Feed2Go and nobody will have access to your iPad.

If you would like to ensure that no more surveys can be started without Guided Access, you can configure that in the Feed2Go settings.

Go to the "Setup" area and tap on "Privacy and Security" in the list on the left-hand side.

There you can specify whether Feed2Go only allows a respondent run to be started in Guided Access mode or not. If yes is selected, but Guided Access is not active, a message appears at the start of a survey stating that Guided Access must be activated. A survey cannot be started until this option is activated.

3: How do I limit access to the Feed2Go app?

You can protect the app with a passcode. Go to the "Setup" area, tap on "Privacy and Security" and switch on "Request Passcode during App Start".

In addition to this, you can ensure that after repeated wrong passcode attempts are made, additional attempts will be delayed by activating the "Delay Incorrect Passcode Entries" function.

Hint: This function is also active during passcode entry for exiting the respondent run.

4: Where and how are the Feed2Go app data stored?

Feed2Go is a 100% native iPad app. Therefore, everything you do in the app, as well as the survey results, remains within your own control on your iPad.

Feed2Go uses the "Data Protection Entitlement" provided by iOS, which ensures that all Feed2Go data on the iPad are always saved in encrypted form.

The app does not store data in iCloud, nor are data sent from the app to a third party server.

Although we would very much like to know which areas of the app are most popular with users, we decided not to add any tracking functionality to the app. Everything therefore remains anonymous, and only you know your information and how the app is used.

Get a detailed insight into the app security report to the app certification in: S6

Hint - iCloud Drive

You can use iCloud Drive (see: i4) in Feed2Go for imports and exports. This means you can export data from the app and store it on your iCloud Drive. You can also use iCloud Drive to access other cloud services such as Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, WebDAV, etc.
The use of iCloud Drive can be deactivated in the iPad settings under "iCloud->iCloud Drive->Feed2Go".

Hint - Dropbox Interface

Feed2Go uses the official framework provided by Dropbox so that you have access to the "Apps/Feed2Go" directory. If you have a Dropbox user account, you can link or unlink Feed2Go to this directory under "Setup->Import and Export".

Hint - Export Possibilities and Export Channels

You can export charts, PDFs, CSV files, zipped CSV files and zipped feedback pages from Feed2Go. The app itself has no influence on the available export channels (e.g. messages, Facebook, email, other cloud providers).
You must specify on the iPad which channels should or should not be shown.

Hint - iPad Backup

If you backup your iPad to iTunes or as an iCloud backup, all of the iPad's data is saved (including the Feed2Go App).
With the iCloud backup, all of the data are stored on an Apple server, since no app can be individually excluded from the iCloud backup.

5: What do I need to know in order to use the keyboard?

If you query confidential information on a feedback page using text fields, you should pay attention to the use of the iPad keyboard.

The dictation function of a keyboard transfers the spoken word to a server. In addition to that, third party keyboard providers can also transfer input to a server so that they can receive and provide word suggestions.

You can switch off the dictation function of the system keyboard in the iPad settings under "General->Keyboard->Enable Dictation".

You can switch off communication between a third party keyboard and its server in the iPad settings under "General->Keyboard->Keyboards->Choice of Third Party Keyboard->Allow Full Access".
Also pay attention to which setting options the third party keyboards offer directly.

6: Where can I find the audit report to the app certification?

The Feed2Go app was audited by mediaTest digital GmbH and has been awarded with the seal of "Trusted App". The corresponding audit report can be viewed in the app under "Setup" and "Trusted App".

The status of the corresponding certificate can be obtained by the "i" "button in the top right hand corner, or directly on the web page at: https://www.appsecuritycenter.com/eng/trustedapp/view/23.

7: What do I have to do if the app has been unexpectedly quit?

If the app quits unexpectedly, then most likely this is caused by a programming error. Please let us know this fact immediately, so we are able to analyze the root cause and can provide an improved version of the app as soon as possible. Thank you for helping all Feed2Go users.
